What my customers say

I take pride in delivering professional service to all of my customers.

Read what some of my satisfied clients have said about me!

  • "Mr. Bill Sills researched and purchased some attic stairs for our home. He installed these stairs by framing a rough opening that was located in an extremely small room.

The job was performed very professionally and the addition of the attic stairs turned out even better than we anticipated. We will hire him again and again!"

  • "Bill has done several different projects, including window replacement, conversion of a garage into bedrooms, painting, and floor tile and carpet installation.

Bill was originally recommended to me by a friend to do the window replacement. That job was done so well, that when I decided to sell the home I had Bill come back and convert my garage into a bedroom and media room. This project involved opening up a wall between the family room and the existing garage, framing, insulation, extending electrical wires, drywall work, painting, and floor tile and carpet installation. Bill is very creative and helped a lot with all manner of remodeling decisions. He was prompt and reliable and I would highly recommend him for all types of home repair/remodeling."

  • "He cut and installed baseboard trim, changed my motion detector lights, fixed a broken door frame and doorknob/lock, fixed holes in walls by patching in drywall, made my gate swing light as a feather and latch again, and gave great advice! I'm probably forgetting something too.

Bill has been great. He's a superman! I initially hired him to install the quarter rounds for my baseboards, but that went so well I hired him to do about 20 other small projects that I couldn't get my head or materials around. He talked me through the projects, worked efficiently and was flexible with me."

  • "Fixed a nightmare of electrical issues same day service.

Absolutely great. Answered the phone. Came same day. Did job perfectly. Very reasonable price. Super pleasant guy."

  • In order to close the sale of my home, I hired Home Serve Seattle to work through a punch list of repairs. A list of nearly 15 items was completed, including both interior and exterior work. Items were both general maintenance and repair work, and included: repaired toilet mounting bolts, repair of jet system to whirlpool tub; weather stripping of garage door; renewed smoke detector installation; gutter cleaning; downspout repair/reattachment; exhaust fan repair in pool house (wire/switch adjustment); re-grouting of master shower; garage door opener adjustment; installation of kitchen cabinet hardware; secured water heater; repaired broken copper water pipe after freeze.

I was exceptionally satisfied with Home Serve Seattle's work. My home had been on the market for nearly one year, and when the inspection report came in, I had to obtain repair services immediately. Bill was available, immediately responsive, and his work was signed off by the buyers without issue. These repairs were generally home maintenance activities but outside the scope of my skill set. Bill's expertise spanned electrical, plumbing, and building areas. He completed the work in a timely and efficient manner. I would heartily recommend Home Serve services for its quality, efficiency and reliability.

  • I wanted to use a room in my 99 year old Craftsman for my computer but it was the only room in the house the wiring hadn't been updated. The decision was made to extend the electrical from a plug in the adjoining room. I am confident the decision was the right one for my use and a safe decision as well. Mr. Sils also helped with other small jobs I needed done in order to get myself settled into a new house. He responded quickly to my first call, and has proven to be reliable and knowledgeable and willing to take on other jobs while at the house. Mr. Sils charges by the hour and that should be kept in mind when adding jobs beyond the original plan.

I think the decision was a smart one and I'm pleased not to have had to go through all the trouble of trying to get new electrical wiring from the panel box at one end of the house up into the attic and across to the other side of the house and down old lath and plaster walls to provide an updated electrical plug for my computer use.

  • Bill began by solving a major problem for me - how to get water to my large deck so I could water the plants and hose the deck off. I've been toting buckets of water out and I was very grateful. Then, instead of taking my list in order, he surveyed the various tasks and realized that not only did my bathroom floor need caulking, but the linoleum was coming up so that needed to be tackled first. He re-attached a toilet seat that had been attached by my previous handyman only a few months ago and gotten loose. He adjusted my draperies, got down vases for me to wash and replace, replaced ceiling bulbs and light fixtures, replaced a bad switch to the garbage disposal, replaced smoke detector batteries, adjusted the front door hinges, and otherwise gave me advice that was very helpful.
Bill's the best handyman I've ever had, but all the while unrushed, pleasant, gave me time to do some of my own work on the computer. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

  • I have used Bill 5 or 6 times in the last 5 months to do a variety of work for me. He installed a doggie door in the side of my house and made a custom ramp, he has fixed plumbing problems, hung shelving, installed lighting, adjusted doors, and much more. When he comes, I usually have a list of "to-do's" and he just tackles them one after another. He also offers good suggestions and spots issues that may be a problem in other parts of my home.
I have been very pleased with Bill's work each time he comes. He is efficient and the quality of his work is very good. He is always right on time, and I find him very easy and pleasant to work with. I will definitely continue using him as other projects and problems arise.

  • We've had several handymen in the past and Bill was far and away the best. He was punctual, professional, pleasant and very knowledgeable. He worked through our list over the course of the day and came up with great solution after great solution for problems that had caused me to scratch my head. His price was very fair. I'm so glad we found him and will definitely use him in the future.

  • Bill came over and helped fix a poorly designed fence. I needed the sides next to the front gate raised to the same height as the gate.  Bill did a fantastic job taking care of the problem mentioned above. I had extra wood for him to use and he was fine using that instead of purchasing new materials. Overall the experience was great and I look forward to working with him the next time I need some help.
